Aspen Elementary School seeks a Part-Time Reading Teacher

Position Title: Reading Teacher (0.8 FTE)
Department: Aspen Elementary School
Reports to: Aspen Elementary School Principal
Classification: Certified
Contract Period: 9 Months, 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week, 185 days with some variance depending on the year)
Compensation: Certified Salary Schedule - Prorated for .8 FTE

Purpose: The reading teacher is responsible for intensive intervention with students, implementing standards-based reading instructional practices to improve reading achievement at the elementary school.  This specialist will work one-on-one or in small groups with students to meet Tier 2 and 3 intervention needs as well as serve as a Tier 1 resource.

 

 

Requirements:

Experience and training in IB are preferred. This may include IB teaching, tutoring, or examining experience. Implement meaningful lessons and units in your classroom while meeting the IB Program requirements. Participate in IB professional development and workshops, that may be outside of contract time.
